Sb 269 requires verification of 100 percent of applications for public assistance, including home visits. This bill will implement the highly successful "Project 100 Percent" that determined there was consistently at least a 25 percent fraud rate for all preliminarily approved applications for public assistance in San Diego County. This project saved at least 25 percent of taxpayer money spent on public assistance.
